Chef Giovanni Vittorio Tagliaferro is co-owner (chef and pizzaiolo) with Diego Matute, of this authentic venue located in the heart of the East Village, the secret weapon Vittorio said is the historical recipe from Tramonti, a small town just behind the Amalfi coast with a 1000 years of history in pizza-making.
If you are wondering why some pizzas are called “The Untouchables” well those are the traditional pizza that cannot be changed because of the ancient recipes.
But this charming Pizzeria is also offering salads, soups, pasta and several entrees all made following the Italian tradition so Tramonti is more than a pizzeria.
The name Tramonti comes from the native village of the Chef in the Campania region of Italy in the Amalfi Coast.
