Chef Raffaele Ronca, winner of the Food Network Series Chopped in 2016, and his business partner Romeo Palmisano do their best to provide every customer with a warm and friendly atmosphere with food that will have you coming back again and again.
Born and raised in Naples, Italy, Raffaele Ronca comes from a family of butchers and fishermen.
He has been working in his Uncle’s restaurant in Naples and he helped his Mother making fresh pasta everyday its just natural that Raffaele developed a lifelong passion for food.
Immigrating to America at the age of 21, he worked steadily at some of New York’s most authentic Italian restaurants such as Executive Chef at Palma (Executive Chef ) Chef de Cuisine at Bellavitae and Manager of Food and Wine at Café Torino.
If you want to experience a true Neapolitan cuisine you must to dine at Rafele.

Rafele is a wonderful chef and host who brings the Italian experience in NY.

This is one of the few places that I will let my server make a suggestion for me and I have not been disappointed! Great food and all cooked to perfection. Make sure you save room for some of the best torta di ricotta! The atmosphere is great here and the staff make you feel at home.

I’ve been to Rafele multiple times over the past couple years. It has a very warm interior and the food is absolutely delicious. I would suggest getting any of the pasta dishes — I’m pretty sure he’s one of the top rated restaurants for pasta in the city. And Ornella is right, the “torta alla ricotta” or cheesecake, is absolutely amazing!
Cassie, I see that you find your perfect restaurant for your special Italian experience. I love everything at Rafele, for sure I need to have my little fried pizza that Raffaele makes for me with no cheese and I cannot miss the home made pasta.
