Barolo Ristorante – Seattle – USA
Our house is your house!
For the past 25 years, brothers Leo, Salvio and Roberto Varchetta along with their parents, Melina and Pasquale Varchetta have owned and operated some of Seattle’s most beloved Italian restaurants, including Mamma Melina, Buongusto, and Melina.
Serving the role of the quintessential perfect hosts, the Varchetta’s share their Italian warmth.
From the time you walk in the door until the time you leave, you’ll sense that you are a part of the family. It’s where tradition and innovation merge in modern comfort; Italian ancestry and family spirit, encased in a warm and inviting setting surrounded by wax-dripping candelabras, Italian glass chandeliers, a 20-seat communal table, comfortable booths to watch the action in the room or a cozy table for two to catch a private moment.
Executive Chef Maurizio Milazzo began his career in the Italian tradition. His culinary studies began and were completed at the Istituto Alberghiero Paolo Borsellino, in Palermo, Italy with credentials in a hotel and culinary management. He moved to Seattle in 2006 and began his Pacific Northwest culinary experience at Ristorante La Dolce Vita in Seattle, Washington.
In the spring of 2007, Maurizio moved to Barolo Ristorante and later in the year, came to take on the position of executive chef.
Maurizio uses his classic Italian training and international experience to direct the menus of this very popular restaurant in downtown Seattle.
