Il Brigante Restaurant was created with the goal of replicating some of the tastes and traditions of southern Italian cuisine, using the freshest and best quality ingredients to make simple and authentic Italian fare.
Our exotic menu selection is dotted with specialties from Calabria: Pizza Calabria and Antipasto Casareccio with spicy salami for which Calabria is famous; Fusilli Silani, fusilli pasta with caciocavallo cheese and sausage ragu baked to perfection in the wood-burning oven. It is a typical dish from Sila, the mountainous region adjacent to Cosenza, where briganti, modern-day Robin Hoods, used to roam the hills with their pointy hats in search of trouble and are the inspiration for the restaurant’s namesake.
